Summer Updates and Steps Toward London

July 2025 Prayer Letter

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Candace and I thank the Lord for your continued prayers and faithful support. This quarter has been filled with travel, ministry milestones, answered prayers, and continued steps toward our move to England.

Family Update

In April, Halla and I had a special opportunity to visit London together. It was a meaningful time for us both, allowing her to see firsthand the ministry at Downham Baptist Church and giving us time together before we leave for the UK. I’m grateful for that father-daughter trip! We’re also excited to share that Halla is planning to begin university this fall at Cedarville University, where she will be majoring in Social Work. Please pray for her as she steps into this next chapter and prepares for life and ministry as a young adult.

On July 21, my mom completed her final chemotherapy treatment. She has definitely been an encouragement to a lot of people during this time. Her spirits have stayed high and her focus has been on the Lord! Throughout months of chemo and radiation, we’ve seen God give her remarkable strength. We’re so thankful for all who have prayed for her—your support has meant so much to our family.

Ministry Milestones

In May, our sending church, Fayetteville Street Baptist Church, held a commissioning weekend for our family. It was a powerful and humbling weekend as several pastors who have walked with us in ministry took part. I’m especially thankful for Pastor Ethan Ryan, Pastor Nathan Deatrick, Pastor Levi Deatrick, and Pastor Randy Browder, who prayed over us and helped commission us for the work ahead.

At the start of June, I drove to Texas to deliver our vehicle to my brother-in-law. With our belongings packed and vehicle passed on, we are now fully prepared to depart for England. We are grateful to a friend who has kindly let us borrow a car while staying in western New York—another reminder of God’s provision in the details.

Visa & Immigration Progress

The past few months have brought challenges and learning curves as we have navigated the UK immigration system. A new law introduced earlier this year brought uncertainty for organizations applying for sponsorship licenses. It was unclear whether churches, as registered charities, would be affected. After four months of preparation and consultation with an immigration lawyer, we were advised to seek a second opinion. Praise the Lord, a lawyer experienced in both charity and immigration law confirmed that the legislation does not apply to churches/charities. We’re incredibly thankful for this clarity and the open door God has provided.

Support & Provision

We’ve continued to see God’s faithful hand in provision. Several churches have recently taken us on for support, and we are so grateful. At this point, a significant portion of the needed monthly support is already in place, and we are continuing to trust the Lord to supply the remainder in His timing. Please join us in praying that the Lord will meet this need in His time. We also rejoice that the full cost of our outfit and passage has been provided—another tremendous answer to prayer!

Life Update – A Break from Caffeine (Sort Of)

After months of constant travel and balancing ministry with a full-time job, I was basically running on caffeine—mainly coffee! At the beginning of July, I decided it was time for a reset and cut out all forms of caffeine. Candace joined in the fun a couple weeks later. It’s been an adjustment, but we are surviving! That said… we do plan to begin enjoying coffee again in August—in small, civilized doses. ☕️

Sometimes, even missionaries need a little espresso encouragement.

We’re grateful for your prayers, partnership, and the many ways you’ve encouraged us on this journey.

In Christ,

Christopher Beane

Pastor, Downham Baptist Church
